Health Conditions

You may not be able to predict the future, but you can anticipate some of what’s to come. Knowing the types of health conditions that may arise in the future can help you prepare for them ahead of time. Below are some of the more common health problems you may run into as you go through life.

Dandruff

Dandruff

Dandruff is a rather embarrassing skin condition on the scalp that causes it to produce tiny flakes of skin which shed without abandon. In some cases, the scalp may become itchy or inflamed, too. Sometimes, people may confuse dandruff flakes with psoriasis flakes on scalp, but the former is largely harmless.

Headache

Headache Common Health Conditions

Headaches are perhaps one of the more impactful conditions on this list. Headaches consist of a constant, throbbing pain in the head or face. These occurrences can last for hours and may make it difficult to concentrate on daily tasks. Common causes of headaches are hunger, fatigue, stress, caffeine withdrawal, and lack of sleep.

Acne

Acne is quite common and is rather unsightly. It is a skin condition that features raised bumps on the skin as pimples, blackheads, or whiteheads. These bumps occur when the pores of the skin become blocked with dirt, dead skin cells, or oil.

Common Cold

Achoo! The common cold is one type of sickness that affects everyone and can occur at any time of the year. Colds typically come with coughing, sneezing, and running or stuffy noses. Other symptoms may include a headache, sore throat, or fever. Colds are caused by viral infections in the upper respiratory tract.

Being Overweight

Being Overweight

Each person will have a healthy weight range for their height, and going over the average weight is considered overweight. Being overweight means having excess fat on the body to the point where it could hinder movement or impair health. It is easy to tell when someone is overweight just by looking at their appearance, but other methods can help to confirm this physical state. An overweight body can be the result of excessive eating and lack of exercise.

Being Underweight

The counterpart to excessive weight is being underweight. Underweight individuals weigh less than the standard weight for their height. Weighing less than the average amount could pose health problems such as fatigue, increased susceptibility to illnesses, and problematic skin, teeth, or hair. Underweight individuals may not be intaking enough calories and nutrients to keep their body weight at a normal level.

Hangover

Hangovers occur when someone drinks too much alcohol over a short period of time. People can drink such alcoholic beverages as beer, wine, or hard liquor. This condition is characterized by a set of unpleasant symptoms that include:

  • Headache
  • Fatigue
  • Drowsiness
  • Inability to move normally
  • Impaired thinking
  • Abnormal behavior
  • Extreme mood swings
  • Violent tendencies

Hangovers are rather unpleasant but can be avoided with self-control in drinking situations.

Fatigue

Fatigue is the feeling of extreme exhaustion or lack of energy. This state is often confused with sleepiness or drowsiness but is not the same as them. The condition can result from ruinous lifestyle choices, stress, health conditions, or problems at a job. Common symptoms include exhaustion, impaired movement, reduced responsiveness, and poor focus.

Dark Urine

The color of a healthy person’s urine should be a pale yellow. Dark urine (dark yellow or brown) is abnormal and is usually caused by dehydration, which is easily rectified with water consumption. Certain foods and medications may also turn the urine a darker shade or different color. If drinking water doesn’t help, consult a medical professional for proper care.

Dark Eye Circles

Some people develop dark circles under their eyes after certain circumstances. In general, being tired will cause the skin beneath your eyes to darken. Other causes are lack of sleep, dehydration, allergies, aging, genetics, oversleeping, and fatigue. Getting enough rest is typically enough to reverse the situation.

Abdominal Pain

Pain between the rib and pelvic areas is known as abdominal pain. This type of pain can range from mild aching to severe cramping. Common causes are lactose intolerance, allergic reactions to food, constipation, and stomach viruses.

Life is full of surprises, and these conditions can spring up when you least expect them. The good news is that you can accept, embrace, and deal with them pretty quickly. The above conditions are some of the more common forms you may eventually encounter.
